About Waterlilies
I wanted a space that stirred the senses, reflecting my love for nature, art, and a touch of spirituality. Through the years the concept of what is artful has changed, and the store along with it, but what hasn't changed is its core theme of nature and spirituality. I source small scale suppliers with their own interesting story to tell, seeking out brands that are respectful of the environment and practice fair labor trade, and always keeping in mind the humanity behind each product sold. These have always been our values and we hope it is apparent when our customers step inside our little space. Namaste.

If you are a person of color, be cautious visiting this shop. The way we were treated was extremely uncomfortable and disappointing. We were completely ignored when we walked in, but suddenly acknowledged only to be singled out and accused of stealingβeven though we had already purchased their items. The accusation was made in front of other customers, which was humiliating and uncalled for. The staff was rude and unprofessional, and the entire interaction felt like we were being stereotyped rather than treated as paying customers. Honestly, I regret not returning the item on the spot. No one should feel embarrassed or targeted while shopping. I will not be returning. Update: The ownerβs response was nothing but excuses instead of accountability. Itβs disappointing that you clearly understand how we felt, yet neither you nor your husband, Ray, offered an apology. Instead of owning the situation, the focus was on defending the behavior. Customers should not be accused and then brushed off without any acknowledgment. Hopefully this review serves as a reminder to treat paying customers with respect rather than walking away and avoiding responsibility.

i just love this beautiful store, everywhere you look is something that makes you feel happy :) I visited Waterlilies last week and Ray was so sweet to help me wrap my new wind chimes and he didn't mind me tinkling all the chimes in the store. I chose this wind chime because its tones are soothing and perfectly balancedβnot too high to be irritating or deep (formal). The chimes resonate with a beautiful echo that lingers just long enough before fading into a faint, magical whisper. The combination of wood, glass, and jadeβ harmonized and truly spoke to me, creating a sense of peace and connection. I'll be checking their website for items I may have missed and will be back for new gloves and knee pads. Working on my garden, and this is a wonderful boutique to inspire me and Pamela is very creative with the space. I love family owned places because I love shopping local!! Go in and be inspired :)

The inside of this store is so nice and the employees are friendly. They have so much stuff it's best to take a look for yourself. I got a mini snow globe with Buddha in it, a magnet, and a soap rock

This shop has been on Piedmont Avenue for at least 20 years. I've shopped there now and then. After Covid19, I have been a regular at their shop as I start to collect and seriously care for houseplants now that most of us are all home during this pandemic. The owners, Ray and Pam, are wonderful. They take the time to show you the houseplants and will even tell you on how to care for them. Here are some of the plants I've collected from them and they're all doing well thanks to Pam's tips on how to care for them!
